HOW TO HANDLE PHOTOS IN IPHOTO

I would think it would be pretty much common sense but here are some ideas:
  1. Immediately find photos you "have to have" like pics of state champion wrestlers, homecoming queens, etc. Something you can't get anyplace else or retake without a huge amount of trouble. Put those in a special folder on your desktop to upload or to fix them in Photoshop and upload.
  2. Next, separate the junk and trash it. Out of focus, way too dark, way too light. If it isn't a "have to have" and it doesn't look good, dump it.
  3. Then have the people who are doing the page itself make decisions on what they want to use based on faces in the photos, who still needs coverage and photo quality.
  4. Lastly fix anything that needs fixing before uploading it.

Capturing the Human Spirit

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-12618167

Watch the video linked above.  Think about why these images are so amazing.  It's not just the subject matter, but the way they are shot.  Look at angles, lines, etc.

Write a three sentence reaction to the video.  What does his work say about photography?  What can photography say about the world?  How does the video inspire you?
