Definitions: Graphic Design

Photo-Ready: A graphic design and publishing term used to describe a hand-drawn illustration that has been 'cleaned up' and is ready to be scanned or photographed.  Most of the time it means that all pencil marks have been erased, ink is all smoothed and checked that all lines are contiguous.

Print-Ready:  A term used to describe when an illustration is completely ready for the print process.  It usually means that it has been scanned, colored and approved for printing by an editor.

Contiguous:  connected, without breaks. There are 48 contiguous states in America.  In illustration, contiguous lines make painting with the paint bucket tools easy.
