Superman Text Effect.... Bollman Style

Step 1. Open Photoshop.  Create a new image File > New.  Make it 1000 pix wide by 200 high with 300 dpi resolution.

Step 2.  Select the TEXT TOOL.  Select the font ARIAL BLACK, a bright red color and a size to fill up most of the canvas area (60 is a good place to start).  Write your name on the canvas.  

Step 3.  Add an ARC to the TEXT by selecting Layer > Text > Warp Text 
You can play with the arc or the horizontal distortion.   

Step 4.  Rename the layer "NAME"



Step 5. Duplicate “NAME”    Layer > Duplicate Layer 

Step 6.  Rename this new layer on the layer menu "BLUR"


Step 7.  On the BLUR LAYER     Filter > Blur > Motion Blur  (Angle -40, Distance 80)

Step 8.  Duplicate this layer ten times     Layer > Duplicate


Step 9.  Hide the Background Layer and the Name Layer by click on the eye icon on the Layer Menu.


Step 10. Layer > Merge Visible 

Step 11.  Duplicate this "blur" level again until the text is solid.  Merge visible again.


Step 12.  Make "NAME" layer visible again and drag it to the top.
    Layer > Rasterize > Type, 
   IMAGE > ADJUSTMENTS> HUE/SATURATION  Adjust the HUE until the NAME is YELLOW. 


Step 13.  Layer > Layer Styles > Stroke  (black, 1 pix) 


Step 14.  Nudge the NAME layer down with the Move Tool until it matches up.  


Step 15.  Save as a JPG.  WAY TO BE A SUPER PHOTOSHOPPER
